It came time for us to bring our nation trotting to a temporary halt and go back to Oregon.
We left Idaho on September 5 and drove a few hours, and arrived in OREGON! Haven't been in this state in almost a year!
Oregon was so excited to see us they created a "Welcome Center" just to welcome us back!!
Now, Ann and I are currently in Redmond, OR at our son’s home.
His wife went in for emergency surgery last week and our little visit and camping trip with them has turned into an extended stay, parked outside their house, helping out with the recovery, grand kid care and such.
We still plan to be in Medford for the 24th to do the half marathon walk….. but Wayne will be doing it without Ann, because a couple days after we got here, Ann fell out of the trailer door and damaged her foot.
Now, Sean and Wayne have two invalid women to care for!
We got to be here for the start of school and Wayne got to be the go to guy for a couple days for taking kids to school, meeting teachers and picking up kids after school. He was in seventh heaven, being at school and dealing with kids and such.
Amanda is recuperating and so is Ann. Sean and Wayne are doing the best we can. We are working hard!
So, for the last week and the one to come, we are in Redmond, OR. We help with meals, transportation, care, playing, household duties and all the other things that go with a busy family that includes two handicapped wives.
