And it was pretty!!
While the cobbler was being constructed , Grandpa and Batman constructed their own masterpiece.
Each grandchild went home with one of Grandma's beanie babies. Here Jed is having a tough time making a decision as to which one Green Hornet would like to take home. He had it narrowed down to six and then it got tough for him. Parenting is such a difficult task!
Then after breakfast and a morning of visiting, it was time for Uncle Jed, Aunt Kate and Green Hornet to leave for Seattle and a little time with Kate's family and then a long red-eye back to home in New York.
Ahhhhhh!
Bye-Bye!
See ya later!!!
Down to one family left with us! Our last son with us was our last son, Kevin. So, that morning while Batman was exploring the cabinets he found a supply of wheat and asked what it was for. So, together, Grandpa and Batman ground the wheat and made bread together. There were too many busy and messy fingers and we forgot to take pictures of the process. But it was fun and this was the end result.
Batman had made friends with our neighbor, Alan, during the time he had been with us. Later, after the bread cooled a little and we had sampled a few pieces together, Batman decided we should share our bread with his friend, Alan. He took a loaf over to him. It was cute.
Surfer Girl!!
Batman wanted his dad to build him a driftwood fort, so they did!
Two proud construction boys!
A house is not a home with out a surfer girl in it!
Then we decided to build a camp fire and have a marshmallow roast!
Sitting wood and fire wood was gathered.
Then it was arranged.
Then it was lit and used! Perfect! And the wind was just a light breeze, so there was no sand in the hot marshmallows!
Then with a tummy full, it was siesta time!!
The ferocious beach guard dog!
The end of another day at the beach!
